
In the 40s, two major costume jewelry manufacturers, Coro and Trifari, launched a line of figural brooches called
jelly bellies. A major part of these highly collectible pins, often in animal form, consists of a central lucite belly. They literally stop traffic when worn. I like to group them, when I wear mine.
